Dual Dyscalculia/Dyslexia Assessment

A full, diagnostic, SpLD Dyslexia assessment investigates the causes of reading, spelling and writing difficulties. A full, diagnostic, dual SpLD Dyslexia & Dyscalculia assessment investigates the causes of reading, spelling and writing difficulties as well as investigating the causes of the maths difficulties and whether they are due to Dyslexia and/or dyscalculia.

This assessment fully complies with SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC) guidelines and can be used to support applications for DSA (Disabled Students Allowance).

Dual dyslexia/dyscalculia diagnostic assessments are conducted in person and take around 5 hours to complete.

They include formal tests to determine underlying ability, cognitive abilities and standardised attainment levels for reading, spelling, writing speed and maths. Additionally, informal activities are completed to enable a judgement on the causes of the maths difficulties. Recommendations will include those for English, study skills and Maths for educational/work settings, specialist tuition and home.
